Lane Series; Ghosts of Hamlet

In an extraordinary tour de force, this Lyonnaise baroque orchestra featuring the passionate Italian soprano Roberta Mameli presents the Ghosts of Hamlet, an original project based on recently discovered fragments of Hamlet libretti. Using previously unpublished music by Scarlatti, Gasparini, Carcani and Vignati, the piece is a very different, female-centric version of Hamlet. Mameli interprets these characters who inspired Scarlatti and his contemporaries to write such expressive and charming arias. As well as the pleasure of discovering these completely new musical gems, this project will transport you on dramatic journey through a rediscovered baroque Italy.
