Italian Vocal Music by Pergolesi and Handel

We're happy to welcome back Upper Valley Baroque's Artistic Director, Filippo Ciabatti, who will be joined by soprano Chelsea Helm for an informal webinar introducing the great works of the Baroque era that UVB will perform on their season opening concert. Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (1710–1736) was born in the Papal States of central Italy and worked largely in Naples. Though not Italian himself, George Frideric Handel (1685–1759) spent four formative years in Italy, entirely absorbing the national compositional style.
